After graduating from a PhD investigating chronic kidney disease at Monash University in 2007, Simon undertook two post-docs in the field of immunology and kidney disease at Monash and Bonn Universities.

These positions sparked a passion for immunology, discovering what goes wrong in autoimmunity and the consequence this then has for our health. He hopes to pass this passion on to his undergraduate students.
